Please take a few minutes to digest this. We received notice just a few minutes ago that all wireless connections are not secure as discovered today. Here is a link that discusses the technical details but the short answer is this:
Any wireless connection can be intercepted and opened completely to be read in plain text. As an example, if you are using your Android device or laptop on a wireless connection, someone could be saving everything you send, including all passwords and any other data. The routers, all routers, that have up to this point encrypted the data have been compromised.
Is it likely that your router is being targeted? Not really. BUT there is no longer any guarantee that your data is safely encrypted until the router has been updated.
What should I do? If you have a laptop on wireless, plug it into a wired connection for the moment. If you have a cell phone, turn off the wireless and use the cell connection to get on the Internet.
